SCIENCE- week 2

SCIENCE

This term in science we are looking into the natural world and how Gods creations work around us. This week we are focusing on plants and how they absorb water.
The students had to do an experiment write up and carry out an experiment showing how plants absorb water. We decided to do the celery in water experiment to show how water travels through the roots. We will keep you posted with updates on this experiments results.

UPDATE: here are some updated photos from our observations made in science.

  1. Kia ora my name is Hannah and I am from Pt England School in Auckland, New Zealand. I thought it was very interesting how you guys made celery plants and then you guys identified how the plant absorbed water. This looks like a fun experiment. I also did the same experiment but I used a different plant. Maybe you guys can use a different plant next time. Also amazing photos you took.

  9. kia ora my name in Marika from Pt England school in Auckland.I think that it's so cool that you made those plants grow so big. maybe next time you could put some plants in the shade and some plants in the sun see which one would grow faster.Overall I think that this is such a cool experiment.
